The Woodland Garden (Tuesday 4th October 2022)

I took this shot to show how this Japanese acer had turned colour now that Autumn is here, but the funny thing is that in the photograph these leaves still show a lot more green than was apparent - something to do with either the way the human eye or the camera sensor "sees" colour.

Woody Day is hoped to be on Thursday this week.

This was Loretta Lynn's first ever single, recorded for Zero Records, and reaching no. 14 in US sales charts. According to Wikipedia she "wrote the song while leaning up against her home's bathroom toilet seat in twenty minutes, using a seventeen dollar guitar that her husband bought her as an anniversary present. She recounted the song's composition in 2010, 'I just sat down with my guitar...I was outside and leaning up against the toilet in Washington State. And I sat there and wrote Honky Tonk Girl'''
