As lily pollen badly stains things I always remove the stamens when the buds open. On arrival home late yesterday I noticed that some of the lilies which we had been given recently had opened while we were away so I removed the pollen but unfortunately got some on my jumper. Today attempts to remove the stain have been unsuccessful especially as I used water which is the wrong thing to do. According to Google I should have used sticky tape or because the pollen is photosensitive, three hours in sunlight would have helped - but the sun never shone all day.
