Pine cones

I collected a number of pine cones last September for a table display. Nicely dried out now, I have distributed some of these around the house in baskets. They are from trees of a number of different species - the one in the middle at the right, for example, is from a tree called locally Pehuén, and known around the English speaking world as the 'monkey puzzle tree'. They provide a pleasant blend of colour and texture, and their rusticity fits in well with local life.
