Jury Duty

This is the huge courthouse in downtown Detroit where I was summoned to serve for jury duty. I took this snapshot of a mural on the back of the building as I walked to my car afterward. The county jail is the building on the right. I ended up being a juror for a trial that lasted just one day, so I do not have to go back there again. I was forced to drive during rush hour both ways, and the traffic in the city was just as horrible as I expected it to be. I am happy that I live in an area where I do not have to deal with that on a daily basis. It was an interesting experience, but I hope that I don’t have to do it again. I am happy that it is done.
