Garden spider

A lovely bright sunny day and was itching to go out for a walk but thought I'd better stay a bit longer at home.  So a day of sorting chores, slowly, some book reading for the book club and a couple of wanders in the garden.

This garden spider or Cross Orbweaver had spun a web between two shrubs and was happily resting in the centre.
