A Packed Day in Carlisle

And what better Blip than a memorial to the Cracker Packers of the Carrs biscuit factory (in the background and extra.) We were disappointed to find the biscuit shop is closed at the weekend. We also packed in a tour of former state-owned pubs in Carlisle another extra. And 3 talks at the book festival . One on the geology of the Lake District aimed at non geologists, one on islands in the Lakes (I was taking note of which of the 36 I could swim to) and very very interesting talk on con men, art fraud and what does "authentic"mean.
Oh and I nearly forgot, I also managed to pack in a spending spree in the underwear department of M&S
