Purton Wrecks

I joined Jane in a visit to Purton Wrecks with her camera club.

Purton wrecks is an area on the eastern bank of the Severn Estuary near Slimbridge where a large number of boat hulls were deliberately stranded to prevent erosion of the bank.

Its a very interesting place.   Most of the wrecks are partially buried in the bank.  

We moved on to Sharpness which had lovely views down the estuary towards the two Severn Bridges
