Sgwarnog: In the Field

Fish out of Water

clouds leaping softly
through a deep ocean of sky
fish out of water

The sky finally cleared in late afternoon, but the wind was strong and it didn't feel that warm. A quick walk down to Tong Park drew only a solitary Small Tortoiseshell, but gave fine views of the developing cloudscape.

I think this is another example of Altocumulus lenticularis - not as spectacular as the pile d'assiettes formation from my lenticular solstice blip, but a radiant beauty all the same.

8yo thinks it looks like a fish. What do you see?
