Japanese anemone

Here in the southeast we haven’t had the heavy rain of elsewhere, and we have had another beautiful day of warmth and sunshine. It was almost warm enough to have lunch outside, but not quite!
These Japanese anemones are a refined version of the more common pale pink single variety that have seeded themselves in various places round our garden.
Our friends yesterday brought us three huge cooking apples, and at lunch time today we really enjoyed stewed apple and ice cream.
