Adverse

Away to Bute for a few days with someone from work.

Bus to Waverley, train to Glasgow Queen St, walk to Glasgow Central, train to Wemyss Bay, sent to Gourock in a taxi by Calmac because the ferry to Rothesay was having to leave from there today because of the weather, a wait of nearly two hours there because they were only running one boat instead of two because of crew illness, a pretty choppy crossing that was twice as long as it would have been from Wemyss Bay.....but, after picking up our food shopping in Rothesay and hanging around for the bus to take us down the coast, the driver was a total legend and dropped us right outside our holiday cottage rather than at the bus stop a couple of hundred yards up the road. Respect!

Cottage is great, and the weather forecast for tomorrow is decidedly non-adverse, very decent even. I shall be spending a good chunk of the morning drinking coffee out on the decking whilst staring out to sea. For sure.
