The start of the journey home

Farewells are always hard - they don't get easier with practice. In fact they get harder.

We tried to pack as much as possible into the last day. Swimming in the morning, lunch out at a lovely restaurant, back home to finish packing and then rushing to the airport for check-in.

But then came the inevitable, the thing that we had been trying to forget about all day. Those last long hugs, getting the last giggle from CJ and the promise to look after each other and our little man.

This was an unplanned trip, one we wish we hadn't had to make. But there has been plenty of laughter in the tears. Lots of stories and memories - both new and old. Enough to start to heal.

After a trip to say farewell, lets not say it again, but say we will being seeing you soon.
