Onions

Today Megan and I return to the garden to harvest onions and carrots. It’s a long days work, but by the end, all the yellow onions are drying in the glass room and all the good carrots are layered in sand in a box (extra). There’s a tray of damaged carrots that need processing too.

Tonight’s tea is roast, stuffed marrow, mashed potato and fried onion and peppers. I use another kilo and a half of tomatoes to make tomato ketchup - a small amount of which I add to the peppers which gives an incredible flavour.

We’re all knackered, but Angus finds enough energy to “cut” Megan’s hair (extra).
