The Atomium

We'd planned to take a trip to Ghent and Bruges today but Flup had his wallet lifted on the Metro on the way to the station so after some time spent with the railway police a bit re-planning was in order and we headed off to the Atomium instead. It's an iconic symbol of Brussels and none the worse for that and for being done up a few years ago. Great views from the top and pretty interesting exhibits as you explore lower down.

After that it was back to the town centre for lunch, beer and waffles. And more beer! Followed by dinner. It's not so bad being on holiday!
