Out of White Wine

“What do you mean we don’t have any more white wine?!”
We got invited, last minute, to a friend’s place for thanksgiving dinner.  Her family came down with covid and bailed on her last night. Lucky us, we became the thanksgiving family dinner guests.
But, alas, not expecting this invite, we had finished our last bottle of white wine at our own thanksgiving dinner yesterday.
Sigh…we took along some sparkling water instead…I know, a sad substitute…
