The dropped stitch

Different can be good.....

A very enjoyable Scottish dancing session this morning. 13 present. We finished with my least favourite dance, but to different music and it wasn't half as bad as expected.

Then a new venue had to be found for lunch because the town hall cafe was full!

We settled on a recently opened vegan cafe which has a strong cat theme - hence the milk jug. Those who usually opt for a ham and cheese toastie had to find an alternative today.

Zoom meetings afternoon and evening. The second included a thought provoking presentation by an architect friend: 'Achieving healthy homes'.

Quite a lot of depressing facts and figures about the ways in which we construct and live in buildings which are not good for our health. So much comes down to cost restricting progress. Yet as a nation why wouldn't we want to invest in building methods and materials which focus on our well-being and the health of the planet?
