Spring Reflections

This evening as I was taking photos, I heard the sounds of frogs croaking and saw the setting sun silhouetting a telephone pole. The air was crisp and clean. It was good to reflect on my growing up years on the farm - a farm with a pond that provided not only the sounds of frogs, but endless entertainment. For example, in winter we skated on the pond, and in summer we built rafts in an attempt to cross to the other side. The hills around the pond were covered in crocuses and buffalo beans. Woodpeckers hammered away and red-winged blackbirds sat on the fence posts. Meadowlarks sang their hearts out and we would mimic their tune. Very good memories...
