Tinkelary tree

Yes...I know it's a magnolia, but it's been known as the tinkelary tree in our family since it was planted.

Dad planted this tree about 25 years ago. One very windy day about 10 years ago, the monkey puzzle tree in the garden next door came down and flattened it (and part of the roof). For 2 years it was no more. No leaves no shoots, nothing! We missed it as it was a lovely memory of Dad.

...and then it came back and now Mam can hardly see out of the window!

Taking the gin girls to the supermarket. Tomorrow belongs to me.
