Meeting an old friend

Since a few years back we have regular contact. He is working in Africa for ngo s who support the locals over there , helping to start their own bussiness.We were classmates in college back in the 60 - 70 s. Last year he underwent treatement for cancer and every 6 months he has to come back for check up. After our meeting he texted me that everything is fine.
