Bella bambino!

Italians love children. Everywhere we went, complete strangers, women and men, effusively welcomed our grandson Tobia. Many wanted to touch and hold him, so it sometimes took a while to navigate a doorway or shop. It was a joy to see the mayhem of children at play in the piazzas that were less frequented by tourists.
