Opposites

Such a day of weather contrasts. I set off from S Ronaldsay in brilliant sunshine, confident that today was a great chance to give the memorial bench for my parents a second coat of oil. Sadly, the weather deteriorated as I travelled up to the other end of the islands and I arrived at my destination in lashing rain. I should've turned back maybe, but I was hoping for a bit of a miracle!

So, all the long way back home again via a minor food shop and the Library. What a waste of a day. 

And if course, by the time I'd returned the weather was again brilliant sunshine. So this time Berry and I took a stroll, only to discover when I turned around to head home that a massive black cloud promised more lashings.
