this is the left hand gate at the main entrance to Glasgow Necropolis its renowned Victorian cemetery...cast in Edington Foundry, Port Dundas 1838 and restored in 2011, it stands close to Glasgow Cathedral...in the centre is the symbol of the Merchants House of a clipper ship surmounting the Globe a nod to the rich trading heritage of the city
