After a much needed sleep we had a great breakfast and headed off to the Louvre, where we had tickets booked. Thankfully the sun came out soon after we arrived, and the rain clouds disappeared. We joined a long queue but it moved quite fast.
We had a wander around, trying to stick to the less busy, quiet rooms, away from the marching through tour groups.
We had an amazing view in the cafe, as we had a much needed cuppa and a raspberry tart.
We wandered some more, then headed outside. We had our first view of the Eiffel Tower. We brought bread and cheese to eat in the gardens. Then wandered along to the tower.
We made our way back to the Louvre in time to see the sun go down behind the Pyramids.
Another walk to the gardens.to watch the Eiffel Tower light show.
We made our way back to Bercy and bought crepes for supper.
A fantastic way to become 60!
