The Bully

We went for a wander around the Gosford Estate this afternoon. There were fluffy baby Goslings with protective parents, the grumpy Heron hiding in the daffodils, and then a slightly paler goose who stood out form the others, by being nearly white. Every time this goose (that I nicknamed Pale Face) went anywhere near the water, the Swans started menacing him. It was pure bullying, not just protecting a nest or bit of territory, Pale Face was chased over the pond. He flew up in the air at one point and came to land over the other side of the Estate until the swans turned round and started trying to hunt him down again. They were really menacing and when the wings started going they make a low predatory whum, whum whum sound... So I've decided that Swans are complete meathead bullys, and should be roasted...
