Cartoons on the canal.

Today was the second day of the Skipton Waterway Festival, held in the Skipton basin of the Leeds and Liverpool Canal. Unfortunately, the sun still refused to shine. The weather wasn't cold, but it was very dull and overcast with an absolutely featureless sky, hence there's no sky showing in my photograph. But the entertainment was as lively and jolly as ever. We had Furness Morris Men in their colourful outfits and jingly bells doing their dances and Skipton Brass Band played for us. I was quite spoiled for choice when it came to choosing a blip but decided to stick with the narrow boats. The theme of this year's festival was 'Cartoons' with the narrow boats dressed up to illustrate their favourites. Left to right are Walt Disney, Loony Tunes and finally the distinctive black and red of Dennis the Menace. There were many more, but I liked these. Hope you do too.
