Banded Garden Spider

There were two of these on the side of the hayfield this morning - right in the middle of their webs. Well, two that I saw. And then on the way back I didn't see either one of them - although I did see their webs. So I'm glad I took the photos when I did. It almost never pays to think "I'll catch it on the way home."
