It’s not even Halloween yet

Garden spider
(Araneus diadematus)

A patient predator and web-spinning extraordinaire. Garden spiders are a common sight across the UK, devouring the flying insects that fall victim to their webs.

Not noticed that cross on the spider’s back before.  Great design! Spotted on way to Kings Park Hospital Covid Jab walk-in.

The Ninja Mini air-fryer, promised for mid November, then notified it would arrive on Tuesday, actually arrived this morning!  No complaints. Haven’t for round to reading the instructions. Looks solid and not too big.

The Covid Seasonal Booster walk-in was my priority, and thankfully all done.. By the time we got home good old Evri had delivered. So good start to the day.

Put my feet p.m., sort of, kept finding things to do. Electrician who was supposed to sort out some ceiling lights, confirmed he would have a  look tomorrow morning, had given up on him.

So wasted a couple of hours checking out new lamps. With luck, a couple of ours can be converted from halogen/fluorescent to LED. But suspect I will need to also to buy a new ones.

Unbelievable nearly all flush ceiling nights now have integrated LED bulbs, i.e. you can’t change them. I’ve been through that before with bendy wall lights (integrated LED bulbs) which lasted 3/4 years. So had to pay an electrician electrician something like £50, + Ikea another handsome amount for new ones. Not doing that again - rip off. .

Surprised people fall for it. So miss-sold online. I’m sure not many punters realise bulbs may not be replaceable.

Nice day. Walked in a T-shirt. I think it’s supposed to be pretty cold tonight
