560 Million Years Old

We had to go to the vet to buy worming tablets for Basil. He should be taking them every month. I've let two months go by. It was something of a trial getting them down him this afternoon.

After the vet, we drove to The Rushes shopping centre where Len was able to buy me some ginger snaps from M&S and we could sit outside Muffin Break for a coffee. We spotted The Urban Forest exhibition and activity centre opposite in premises once inhabited by Cargo Household store. Sadly, it was closed but we could see that some of the structures that had been in the Outwoods Sculpture Trail this summer had translated inside.

The Urban Forest celebrates Charnwood Forest Geopark which hopes to gain international status. Trace fossils have been found in the mudstones, of primitive animals that lived 560 million years ago, such as Primocandalabrum shown in this poster. It was an animal, not a plant, I have been assured.
