King Parrot

The Australian King Parrot is a magnificent looking bird and very common in eastern Oz.
Differentiating genders is simple - if they have a red head, there’s no need to go searching for any other anatomical features, it’s a male. (Note, this rule cannot be applied to humans).
Females have a green head but are still King Parrots, not Queen Parrots as logic would suggest.
I always found them quite good to handle although if they do manage to get hold of a finger, it’s not painless!
