293/365 20th Oct 176 Years !  Christ Church, Melplash nr Bridport was consecrated 20th October 1846 the same day as a ploughing match between 2 farmers that lead to the founding of the Melplash Agricultural Society, the next year on 20th October 1847 they held there first Ploughing Competition on land near by, at the moment there is a small exhibition on display in the church showing the history of the society.  #melplashshow2022  #mas175  #mas
