Opera...

Standard Life (the company that pays my bills) sponsors the Scottish Opera.

Today, Scottish Opera did a lunchtime recital in our office today. I think this is an annual thing as I have seen them in the same situation before.

The performers were outstanding, it is frightening some of the volumes and tones they managed to get at whilst keeping it perfectly in tune and they also put some of the dramatics into each song to give it a bit of context.

I must say I really enjoyed it but I can only really enjoy opera in small doses such as this. A couple of years at the same type of lunchtime recital, I won free tickets to see Don Giovanni. It was way too long and quite hard to follow to be fully enjoyed.
