Cormorant at the Loch

I was a bit surprised to see this bird drying its wings at the loch.  I have identified it as a cormorant but open to a conversation about this.

It is unusual to see a cormorant at our loch though.  The sun was shining for a short while and we were lucky enough to walk while it was out, and did our food shopping afterwards.
