Unfortunately, my LaCie 4TB hard drive packed in the other day and it stores over 39,000 photos. Fortunately, I had them all backed up onto an 8TB drive and was able to restore them. I bought the drive about 5 years ago so I suppose that isn't too bad for a mechanical drive. I think I'll go for an SSD next time. PLEASE make sure all your precious pictures are all backed up.
