The last fest

Catherine Mandel watches the passing parade of people leaving the 2013 New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival this afternoon, the last day of the fest. She and her husband, Ed, have lived right across the street from the Fair Grounds, and they've had the Fest as their annual neighbor every spring.
But they've sold their Fortin Street home, and this is their last festival.
