Fluffy

Another EB. I went out hoping for some good shots but had accidentally put a flat battery in my camera. :(

I think this might be a common carder bumble bee. The term carding is derived from the Latin carduus, meaning thistle or teasel. Before machines teasels were used to comb raw wool. These bees comb material together to create a covering for cells containing their larvae. I like that the bee is fluffy and the dead nettle flower it is supping from is fluffy too.
