Parkwalking at Parkrun

I was Run Director at Parkrun this morning and had ordered up the sunshine between two awful rainy days.  The park looked glorious as Bev and I arrived at 7.45am from our walk down as the sun rose.  Autumnness was in almost full splendour as we put out the course.

We had just over a hundred participants today, twenty or so first timers and quite a few more walkers which is what we are trying to promote this month, Parkwalking at Parkrun.  The  parkwalkers wear blue hi-viz so they can be approached by folks perhaps a little nervous about walking 5k.  My blip is of volunteer M supporting S who has been coming to Myrtle for some weeks now with husband M, and sometimes daughter P.  We have a great bunch of volunteers and Hobbler pal Bev today celebrated her 100th volunteering, woo hoo!

I began processing too many photos when we arrived home, then took a break after lunch.  I mowed the grass for the last time till Spring and Tony went up to the allotment to pick the cooking apples.  The Howgate Wonders look superb, one apple is almost enough for a small pie for us.
