Squirrel silhouette

Caught this one standing still for just a moment this morning, from our living room. I am a bit concerned about the brown patches in the fir tree, there are so many trees and shrubs still smarting after the drought through the summer months.

Thanks so much for the entries for last Thursday's Abstract Thursday challenge. I've re-enlisted for a compact  course on Abstract Photography with a Dutch course leader starting in a week and hope to get some new ideas along the course. This teacher is very strict in that she wants us only to capture things as natural as they are, no app editing mostly , but still capture shots that make people wonder what they are seeing. I'm sure by now you all know I am not strict at all and you can do all the editing you want for Abstract Thursday's.

Nevertheless after the optional themes of 'food' and 'animal' the last two weeks I propose 'natural' as a optional theme for the last Thursday of October. However 'natural' is a wide term and your shots can be as edited as you want :-) The tag will be AT383.

Here's the list of 5 special entries from last Thursday:
Diane2104                     butterfly scales?
evolybab                        ducks walking like Egyptians
Missycat                        rainbow unicorns
frani                                wild dog
Inverculain                    geese chase

And thanks so much for the kind comments and stars for yesterday's fungi (which I have been scraping out of the lawn this afternoon !)
