The Minotaur

Mr C and I were both feeling a little rough today following our covid vaccinations yesterday. Nevertheless I thought it was a good idea to walk to the Tate Modern. I had an ambition to see the Cezanne exhibition, but it was so busy neither of us could have it. So we went to the Australian art exhibition on the same floor instead. We should have held out. We tubed home, put a chicken in the oven and collapsed on the sofa. Mr C is suggesting a Korean movie on iPlayer might be suitable evening’s entertainment. We’ll see if I last.

We passed this rather striking statue on the walk to the Tate. The Minotaur was made by Michael Ayrton, and was bought by the City of London corporation in 1973. It was originally placed in Postman's Park, before moving to its current home in the Barbican.
