A Day of Two Halves

We left Sheffield this morning after a lovely breakfast of pancakes (thanks to Annie's brother). It was pouring with rain but we still decided to meander via the Peak District. We stopped a few times to take in the gorgeous autumn colours. As morning became afternoon and we travelled on south, the rain relented. We stopped near the site of the former Willington power station and I had to get a shot of the chimneys (see extra).

Back home late afternoon, we unloaded the car before a very heavy thunderstorm made an appearance.
