Warm Wednesday

We headed off to Montreuil sur Mer today.  A walled town that Mr C and I have visited and enjoyed before.  A town that was used by the English during WW1 and maybe more famously known as the setting of Victor Hugo’s Les Miserable.

Planning to have lunch here we had to think about timings as everything closes at 2pm.  We found and booked a restaurant for 1pm and then had just over an hour to enjoy a walk along the ramparts.  Unlike last nights dinner, todays lunch was lovely.  After lunch Mr C and I would have been happy to visit the citadel but S and J (I think she knows what he is like and works out whether she can encourage him or not … and maybe not on this occasion) were not so keen.  So we headed back.

It was another sunny, warm day .  After a bit of a chill Mr C and I wanted to go for a walk and were pleased that S&J joined us.  A walk along the beach and a stop at a bar on the beach for refreshments before walking back through the town.

An evening of cheese and bread with some new games for Mr C and I, Rummikub and Bananagrams.
