Imagine RIT

After arriving home last night at nearly midnight, we were up and out the door shortly before 8 this morning. Daughter attends Rochester Institute of Technology and today is a special day called Imagine RIT. This is basically an open house/exposition of work students at the various colleges have done. Daughter volunteered today and even talked Son into volunteering as well. Their "shift" began at 10am when the event opened and ended at noon. Volunteers are treated to lunch, so we met the kids afterward.

Husband and I went around the campus, seeing all sorts of inventions and it was so interesting. We spent a good deal of time at the engineering school, as Husband is a Mechanical Engineer. He could not believe the work areas in the building....all sorts of machining tools and labs where students can get hands on training. He said the school he attended never had anything like this! That is one of the greatest draws to this college..the kids really do get to use their heads and are encouraged to dream on!

It is so hard to believe that Daughter will graduate in only days. I think she might just miss RIT.....
