Going down

Walked the Humbleton round with MrM this afternoon. The first time either of us has done a decent walk in a while, which is probably why the way up seemed like Everest!

Mild but quite windy, so we were surprised to see several gliders being towed up from Millfield (extra). Lots of fungi all along the walk, including jelly ear which, MrM informed me, is edible, though I don't think I'll bother trying it! On the Common we spotted two young roe deer and two red squirrels, and the autumn foliage this year is glorious.
