Time Travelling Table

This table is a cross-section of a Beech tree that stood in the grounds of the hotel for over 200 years.  It has been carefully annotated with significant events from history corresponding to the growth rings, such as the "death of Napoleon - 1821" near the middle through the "invention of the light bulb" and "first man on the moon".


A lovely idea.

Another  tiring but productive session today.
