It Started Down Under

Whale World

Today we first visited the natural phenomenae: The Gap and the Natural Bridge. These prehistoric rock formations are gigantic and impressive.

Not far away was the Rocky Hill where we walked/climbed our way to the top for a 360 degrees view over Albany, the ocean and the bays.

Then we went to Whale World. There they used to hunt for whales for their blubber, oil and bones. Nowadays it's a big museum where they show the whaling history of Albany. I took this picture from one of the 3 whale chasers that they pulled ashore for tourists like us.

Later that evening we did the historic walk through Albany. It took us by all "interesting" historic bits and pieces of Albany.
