Windmill 'Leonardus', Maasbracht

The windmill got its name in 1992, after the last professional miller, but the mill itself was built in 1867.  I met the miller, actually.  There were some repairs being attended to, but visitors were welcome.  Occasionally, he needed to test the mechanism that turns the vanes, and I was allowed to watch.  I think it's quite an interesting job, not your usual 9-to-5 thing, but the key is passion for the work.  I've been told that I'm too short to perform some of the duties.  Well, I've been told that quite a number of times for other jobs.  :D))

A beautiful day with a lot less scratching, but I'm due for another bathroom session with a lot of shampooing and combing.  I feel like a dog.  :DDDDD)))))
