Who decomposes the decomposers?

These are the withered remains of a large Dryad's saddle, a large fungus that makes its living by decomposing dead wood. Having dispersed its reproductive spores, probably millions off them, it is now itself being decomposed by who knows what. The wonderful cycle of life rolls on.
