Flower Friday...Poppy

This beautiful poppy was one of several enjoy a spot of sunshine midmorning...amazing to see at the end of October...thanks Bikerbear:)
A bit of housework and later, a bus to Bfriend where we had a presentation from staff of Doncaster museum on the subject of witchcraft! Most interesting as always ....
We made our own version of a witch ball....see extra.
"A witch ball is a hollow sphere of glass. Historically, witch balls were hung in cottage windows in 17th and 18th century England to ward off evil spirits, witches, evil spells, ill fortune and bad spirits."
