Threave Castle

We’re up in Scotland to celebrate a friends 1000 Marilyn tomorrow. It’s not an area we know but we loved the short walk in the nature reserve at the delightful Threave Castle and wonderful to see a peregrine flying around the castle here.
Then we wander along the harbour at Kirkcudbright, before a short stop at Dundrennan Abbey. (It’s closed but we can see in from a nearby field). From here we drive down along the waters edge to Balcary Point -which is beautiful and plenty of wading birds in the shallows - before heading to meet our friends at the Anchor at Kippford for a fish and chip supper. Montage in extras
For only the second time I’ve managed to inadvertently delete the 110 pictures on the camera - grrr!
I suspect that wifi here will be unreliable- but let’s see
Fingers crossed for good weather tomorrow
