Saffron

The first saffron crocus is just showing, in the lawn. I see a slug has taken a bite already! You can see the tip of the saffron just showing, so I hope the slugs don’t get it before I do. I planted another 100 bulbs this year (Rob thinks I am bonkers) so I am hoping to get a teaspoonful!!
