Coo

A nature theme has been emerging in my submissions of late. Doubtless this can be attributed in part to a sense of Spring arriving at last, now, in early Summer.

Here's another regular visitor to our garden. They're lovely birds, these collared doves. They usually come in pairs. Shortly after this photo was taken, the partner appeared. I find it difficult to tell the ladys from the men. I am aware that I'm imposing gender based stereotypes on these birds and acknowledge that perhaps it's only ever the lady birds that go out and the men may be back home fixing the cracks in the nest - perhaps the lady birds eat the men after the eggs come...

Nah, I think they're traditional, boring old man and woman love birds.
