Cassiobury Park

We took the grandchildren to the park today and I managed to take a few shots. Infra red photography has always fascinated me but I'm reluctant to spend a fortune on a dedicated IR camera or have any of my equipment modified, and IR film requires too much effort at the moment.
I decided to try using a deep red filter (Ilford SFX in fact) on my DSLR and convert the red channel to mono to see if I could get something like an IR shot. The exposure was dire - no tripod so 1/10 sec handheld, and I didn't have time to try different exposures, but I'm pleased with this first attempt. Hopefully I'll make some time to try further.
